			Von Reventrad was born in the village of Nogrollond during the Fourth Era. Although his parents were nobility, the family was relatively poor. Nevertheless, his father sold the family’s heirloom silverware collection to the Duke of Kreonix, which allowed them to send young Gregor to study in Ardoria. Here he was quickly discovered as a bright, young student, and within an extraordinarily short time he had passed his exams and began working as a lawyer. For more job opportunities he moved to Helmira, where he decided to switch careers, applying to the position of Deputy Ambassador to the Imperius Reich. Although be did not get the job, he was offered a job as an assistant to the Secretary of the Foreign Affairs in the Imperial Palace. After 9 years he had eventually worked his way up, until he was named Grand Chancellor of the Kythiran Empire by Emperor Alexander Viromaro.
