This event ended the relatively peaceful First Era, and threw the world into the turmolous eras to follow~~.		The Emperor Coetzeeclan Viromaro started as one of the first men. His father, Squarepantstoo Viromaro, discovered the world of Minecraftia, and led the other first men into the realm. Coetzeeclan is also a distant relative of Kaiser Borous, back then known as Borre of Blackwater.

	~~Though~~ the most powerful man in the world ~~for a while, this position~~ was soon ~~threatened by King Mercenary, another of~~ the ~~First Men whom had founded the nation of Helmsdeep past the Valley Lands. Emperor Coetzeeclan~~, ~~wishing~~ to ~~stop this threat to his power monopoly~~, ~~tried to kill~~ the ~~new nation with sanctions, but soon fell into~~ a ~~bitter war where~~ the ~~Kythirans~~, ~~though winning on the military terms, lost due~~ to ~~terrorism and guerilla tactics. For~~ the ~~rest of the Second Era Kythira would try to regain their power, contending with Helmsdeep~~ and the ~~new nation of Redstonia. In the end however~~, ~~before they could take on Helmsdeep, they fell into the post Second Era dark ages~~ as the ~~world experienced~~ the ~~Great Grief. Coetzeeclan, though his country lay~~ in ~~ruins, survived~~ the ~~onslaught~~, ~~and during these dark ages began rebuilding on~~ the ~~ruins~~.		Coetzeeclan began the Second Era by establishing the world's first nation: The Kingdom of Kythira.

	~~Today Emperor Coetzeeclan rules~~ the ~~oldest and~~ most ~~powerful~~ Empire in the ~~world~~, ~~though cracks are beginning to appear that show that~~ the ~~old absolute monarchy is in decline after a long series~~ of ~~reforms that the Emperor had hoped would make ruling the massive Empire more effective~~.		His position as most powerful man in the world was soon toppled as Kythira became engulfed in conflicts during the tremulous Second Era, but he managed to maintain control of Kythira, and keep it as an independent state.

	~~Having virtually unlimited wealth,~~ the Emperor ~~enjoys the finer things in life~~ and as ~~a direct result has become rather lacks in~~ the ~~affairs~~ of ~~state,~~ his ~~last significant acts~~ of ~~state being to appoint a~~ successor ~~and striking the Everlasting Peace deal with the Empire of Imperius~~. ~~Most of the time~~, the ~~Emperor is seen either resting in one~~ of ~~his many palaces, commissioning renovations or constructing~~ new ~~homes across his Empire. He usually resides in Villa Mar Soleado on the Mediori Sea or wonders across the~~ Imperial ~~Library in the White-Gold Tower. He also writes a lot, and many Kythiran literary classics are from his hand~~.		Escaping the Great Grief through a stronghold north of the Riverlands, he eventually began to unify the old world and rebuild upon the ruins, forming what is known today as the Kythiran Empire. He also acquired the castle of Blackwater Base in return for land east of the Narrow Sea, indirectly making way for the Imperius Reich to be formed.

			Though officially still the absolute ruler of Kythira, today most of the power in the Empire is in the hands of Crown Prince Whazajottom, the High-Lord of Ardoragh.

			In the Fourth Era the Emperor spends great sums of taxed income, mostly coming from Ardoragh, on both infrastructure projects and to maintain his own luxurious lifestyle, as he moves from palace to palace.

			Many speculate that he is making preparations to retire as Emperor, but so far the only sign of this has been his appointment of an official successor. If this would occur, it would make the Roterstein family of Crown Prince Whazajottom the new Imperial House of Kythira.

			Prince Whazajottom was, like the Imperial House Coetzee, the Noble House Joey and the extinct House Mercenary, part of the First Men, Riverlanders back in the beginning of the First Era, when The Riverlands were still known as the Spawnlands and Oldspawn was known as 'The Spawn'.
