Mörkren is the fortress located in the mountain next to the former capital of [[Ardoragh]], [[Alralysva]]. The fortress has only one entrance and exit. The bridge in front of it. The location of the fortress and it's only entrance makes it nearly impregnable. Inside the mountain fortress is a nearly fully functional city. It also locates a Spleef arena.

The Fortress was constructed by [[High Lord Whazajottom]] during the [[Third Era]] before joining the Empire. Large halls have been built and are ever expanding.
According to the folklore however, it was constructed by the Last of the Kings after defeating the Black Army. This also describes that the actual fortress of Mörkren is located deep inside the mountain behind a large labyrinth of caves. The fortress that can be seen from outside the mountain is merely a wall to keep all the evil inside. Never to be released into the world again. The folklore does not speak of a name for the fortress from the outside. Due to this confusion the fortress just tends to be named Mörkren just as well.

Mörkren is only accessible over one long narrow bridge. At the end of this bridge there is the large wall of Mörkren and two wooden doors. Passing the bridge unharmed shall be quite the objective due to the lots of spots one could fire an arrow from. Even after breaching the doors of Mörkren the whole fortress has several layers with stairs which can prove hard to take. Although small passages may sometimes be found around the fortress, which could make moving to other parts easier, however due to the small size, it would be easy to supress an attack from these passages during a siege.

Inside Mörkren is nearly a fully functioning city to be found. At the creation of the fort none of this existed. They were build later during the [[Fourth Era]] to support a larger population. The civilians living inside these walls are counted under the population number of [[Alralysva]], due to the Fortress of Mörkren being located inside this city. The housing proves to be rather expensive, mostly due to location of being inside a fortress like this. Space is scarce and that holds a price.

[[The Grand Spleef Arena of Ardoragh]] can be found within these walls as well. Upon entering the fortress one can go to the right, where a map of [[Alralysva]] is displayed. Next to this map it a pathway down to the spleef arena. The start of this path is rather narrow, which during large events in the arena have caused several jams in the past.

== The Mörken Legend ==

Mörken's history has been intertwined with that of Ardoragh for centuries. Recently a group of Kythiran archeologists discovered a set of scrolls in a cave on the Mediori Sea, that seemingly tells the history behind Mörken and Ardoragh as a whole.

The Mörken were a mysterious and powerful people who lived long before the arrival of the First Men to what is now Oldspawn during the First Era. They were skilled in magic and technology, and built a magnificent city under the peak of Mount Mörk. They called their city Mörkenheim, meaning “the home of the dark ones”.

The Mörken were secretive and isolationist, rarely interacting with other races. They preferred to study the mysteries of the world and pursue their own interests. They had a complex society and culture, governed by a council of elders and a high priestess. They worshiped an ancient deity known as Mörkoth, the lord of darkness and secrets.

The Mörken’s downfall came when they delved too deep into the secrets of the mountain. They discovered an ancient evil that had been imprisoned there since the dawn of time: an eldritch horror that corrupted their minds and souls. The Mörken became obsessed with freeing this entity from its bonds, believing it to be their true god.

They began to perform dark rituals and sacrifices in its name, hoping to awaken it from its slumber. They also started to attack other tribes, raiding their lands for slaves and resources. They became feared and hated by all who knew of them.

A coalition of ancient tribes decided to put an end to the Mörken’s madness. They formed an alliance called the Lightbringers, led by a legendary hero named Ardor. They gathered their armies and marched on Mount Mörk, determined to destroy the Mörken once and for all.

The war was brutal and bloody. The Lightbringers faced many dangers on their way to Mörkenheim: traps, monsters, curses and the dark magic of the Mörken. Many died or went mad along the way. But they did not give up.

They finally reached the gates of Mörkenheim, where they faced the final resistance of the Mörken. A fierce battle ensued, with both sides suffering heavy losses. The Lightbringers managed to break through the defenses and enter the city.

There they witnessed the horror of what the Mörken had done: they had turned their city into a temple of unspeakable evil, filled with altars, idols, and corpses. They had also completed their ritual to free their god: they had opened a portal to a dark dimension, from which emerged a monstrous being of tentacles, eyes, and teeth.

The Lightbringers realized that they had arrived too late: the Mörken had unleashed an apocalypse upon the world. They decided to make one last stand against this abomination, hoping to at least delay its rampage until others could escape or find a way to stop it.

They fought valiantly but hopelessly against this creature that defied all reason and logic. Many fell under its gaze or were torn apart by its limbs. Ardor himself confronted it with his sword of light but was swallowed whole by its maw.

As all seemed lost, a miracle happened: from within the beast’s belly came a bright flash of light that pierced through its flesh and skin. Ardor had sacrificed himself to destroy it from within: he had used his sword to ignite his own soul in a blaze of glory that consumed both him and his enemy.

With his death, he saved the world from annihilation but also doomed himself to oblivion. He became known as Ardoragh, meaning “the one who burned”. His name was given to the lands where he died as well as to his descendants who inherited his legacy.

The remaining Lightbringers fled from Mount Mork before its entrance collapsed under its own weight, burying everything beneath it including Morkeinheim. The Morkein were wiped out along with their god. Their city remained hidden under tons of rock until centuries later, when an expedition from the Kingdom of Redstonia rediscovered it during the middle of the Second Era.

Prince Whazajottom was, like the Imperial House Viromaro, the Noble House Vinkhuys and the extinct House Hurdræber, part of the First Men, Riverlanders back in the beginning of the First Era, when The Riverlands were still known as the Spawnlands and Oldspawn was known as 'The Spawn'. He was one of the builders of the First Home, and after that was demolished moved to his home of Redstonia at the Spawn.

After the Kingdom of Helmsdeep arrived as a competitor to the Kingdom of Kythira during the Second Era, raids by Helmsdeep began to torment the Spawnlands, and Whazajottom together with a group of friends moved east, crossing at the time extremely inhospitable terrain, eventually settling at the Narrow Sea's coast on the Peninsula of Peril. Here, he founded the nation-state of Redstonia, which would eventually become the strongest fortress and city-state of the Second Era.

Staying neutral during the War of the Valley, he changed tactics during the Great Grief, cooperating with King Mercenary of Helmsdeep to invade Kythira. However, this turned out to be a ploy, and he trapped Mercenary and his soldiers into a deadly trap, ending the Kingdom in the fires of the Great Grief.

Though Redstonia survived the Great Grief, it could not survive as a lone nation, and soon Whazajottom left his former Kingdom behind to look for new opportunities. He would find them years later, at the end of the Third Era, when King Coetzeeclan of Kythira gave him the lands of Ardoragh to rule as Kythiran High-Lord.

Today Prince Whazajottom is arguably in a more powerful position than he ever was before. He not only holds almost full autonomous control over the largest and second-most powerful Kythiran Province as High-Lord, but he also is the heir to the Kythiran Empire if Emperor Coetzeeclan abdicates. Though technically the second-most powerful province of the Empire due to the capital of Helmira being in the Heartlands, in all other aspects he rules the most powerful province in terms of sheer resources, land and population. However, the expanse of the Province of [[Ardoragh]] has some hurdles that the provincial government in [[Ardoria]] tries to overcome, mainly in terms of infrastructure.

Prince Whazajottom has also been the cause behind many international stirs and conflicts between the [[Empire of Kythira]] and [[Imperius]]. Though far away from Imperius itself, he often tends to ignore international and even Kythiran law due to his own extremely powerful position, making him act on situations even when being forbidden to do so. This has become such a regular occurrence that the Courthouse in Helmira even has a lavish personal jailcell for him to reside in during the many lengthy trials he tends to find himself in. Though Emperor Coetzeeclan himself wouldn't care too much, he sees these trials as a necessary evil to reign the Prince in at least somewhat, as he was one of the culprits behind the Great Grief, and only his elimination of Helmsdeep and the Royal House of Mercenary was enough to convince Kythira to pardon him in the Third Era.

One noticeable difference between the Prince and the Imperial Family is their lifestyles. Whilst the current Kythiran Imperial Family tends to live a luxurious high-life, with the House Viromaro owning many lavish palaces and villas across the Empire, all primarily paid for by taxation of the Golden Provinces, mostly Ardoragh, the House Roterstein and the Prince tend to live a more down to earth lifestyle, choosing to have only a small palace in [[Alralysva]] and only holding [[Mörkren|Fort Mörkren]] for defensive purposes and the Ardoragh Palace in Helmira since they were forced to accept it by the Emperor. In fact, the personal castle of the Prince's brother, Duke Corspin, in [[Kreonix]] is much larger than the Alralysva Palace. Even so, the Prince barely uses his palace at all, preferring to stay on the move across his Province.

Aside from his large influence all over Ardoragh, he writes a book series called "[[The Book]]". It resembles a diary in where he writes down stuff he did that day, and tends to write little jokes, stories or even smaller guides to redstone contraptions. Besides that events that happened in Minecraftia can be found in The Book as well, however these tend to be written from his point of view and may receive heavy critics as well. Not only is his opinion found merely about events, it is quite everywhere. As can be read in the first few parts of The Book, where even the Emperor is not being spared. The series originated from the imprisonment of Whazajottom by Emperor CoetzeeClan, where he was given a little booklet to use as a diary for his days in prison. The imprisonment has indubitably had adverse effects on the first published Book and gave rise to such opiniation.

Alralysva is the old capital city of the province of [[Ardoragh]], before it was replaced by [[Ardoria]] that is more centrally located in Ardoragh after expansions. It is under the rule of High Lord Whazajottom. Alralysva houses a large Cathedral with the large and famous library [[Försliota]] beneath it. This Library contains lots of small hallways and hidden paths, people have been lost in these hidden paths and needed to be recovered by staff members. The Library also houses a science division that researches into new technologies for Ardoragh and the Empire.

Alralysva has often been referred to as a natural and beautiful city. The Emperor CoetzeeClan has often made remarks about the beauty of the city.

The city offers a good defense from the outside, as the city has been encircled with a decorated wall and several towers. Most of these towers house a bridge to cross the river that also gives it a more strategic location. Even though these bridges are here, they are seldomly being used, as there are little things to be found in behind these bridges and the government would rather not have every citizen walk around inside the towers.

}}The '''Red Keep''' is a castle built in the center of the city of [[City of Redstonia|Redstonia]]. It is currently being manned by Legio III Ignis of the [[Imperial Legion of Kythira]]. Redstonia is the only city in which the Legion has a military presence inside the city itself. Interestingly, the town watch of the city falls under the command of Legio III - giving the military theoretical control over civil law enforcement, although no issues have been reported so far.

Originally the castle held another name and was the home of King Whazajottom during the Second Era, as it was a fortress inside of a fortress. Noticeably, during much of the Second Era the world's first and only roller coaster stood atop the castle, but this was removed by Kythira during the city's reconstruction in the Third Era due to severe safety hazards.

The castle holds several rooms, including a large hall meant primarily for feasts. Under the fortress lies a complex network of tunnels and rooms, used by the Redstonian Kingdom for storage and training, as well as to demonstrate their technological advantage. Many tunnels remain undiscovered, whereas other tunnels have been blindly removed to make room for the Kythiran Metro System, whatever treasures may have been in the removed rooms were never documented.

The City of Marsadini is the capital of the Kythiran Golden Province of Camuria. Founded during the Second Era it was originally a colony of the Kingdom of Helmsdeep on the coast of the Narrow Sea, which allowed for a sea trade with the Kingdom of Redstonia, after the construction of the Narrow Sea Gates. Today the city still has access to the sea, only it has been limited due to the Great Wall of Kythira. Access is available only through the fortified Wolfenstein Bay.

During the Third Era Marsadini, as a former Helmsdeep colony, was annexed by the Kythiran Empire. Construction efforts were put in place to develop Marsadini as the capital city of the newly founded Province of Camuria, with the small Castle Merceria as the High-Lord’s seat.

In the modern era Marsadini, and Camuria, although located near the Empire’s wealthy capital Helmira, is considered as one of the poorest places in the Empire, and it is a symbol of the strong class divisions within Kythira. Most of the city’s inhabitants live in tiny homes, akin to sheds. Almost the entire population of Camuria lives in Marsadini, with a handful of people living in the town of Lapis.

Most of Marsadini’s population is employed by the Imperial Mining Company, which is headquartered below Fort Merceria. The Kythiran Legion has its headquarters near the city as well, which provides some extra work for the population.

It is currently under the rule of [[Whazajottom|High Lord Whazajottom]]. Before the unification it has also been under the rule of High Lord Whazajottom, back then it was a monarchy being ruled by Whazajottom. He had offered to join the Empire to prevent any new wars from escalating. This removed Ardoragh from being the new kingdom of Whazajottom. However, Ardoragh turned out stronger than ever, due to a high increase in trade with the Kythiran Empire, and Whazajottom became a High Lord as well, granting him more influence in the Empire of Kythira. It has even granted him the title of Crown Prince of Kythira, meaning he will gain full control over the Kythiran Empire may the Emperor abdicate.

Ardoragh has a mythical background with lots of folk tales, ranging from magical beings to giants to large evil armies plundering all the lands. Although there is little to no evidence to be found all around Ardoragh except for ruins. Although it is said that inside the mountain of the fortress of [[Mörkren]] still resides the old fortress from the folklore. The Mythical fortress of Mörkren. There are locked doors to be found inside the fortress, but for years nobody has ever went there. It is also strictly forbidden to trespass these doors. It is still unknown what is behind these doors.

Ardoragh is the largest province inside the Empire of Kythira. Ardoragh was able to expand to such sizes after the Great Grief, there was no presence of the Empire back in these days. When Whazajottom has left behind his former kingdom of Redstonia to settle in new lands, he came along many villages in this region which he managed to unite under his new flag. The word quickly came about and more and more villages and settlements joined the cause, causing the new kingdom of Ardoragh to expand with little effort. Whazajottom welcomed all of the villages and helped them to rise to greater heights. Combatting crime in the region with a harsh iron grip, this has caused crime to nearly disappear from the region, causing the population to rejoice even more under the new king.

Other causes for the expansion is the near monopoly on trade with the Kythiran Farlands. Which has resulted in the city of Kreonix, the harbour city on the west coast of Ardoragh.

Far down south in Ardoragh lays the city of Yrticil, founded by WhiteWolfXD98 in name of Ardoragh. Communications have been lost with this expansion party for a while, but once it was returned, a well functioning city was returned, having the southern parts join the cause as well. This however, was done after the unification of Kythira and Ardoragh. However they have decided to join Ardoragh instead of becoming a self governing province within the Empire.

Ardoragh, although officially a Kythiran province, is the most autonomous of provinces and has at times been labeled as rebellious by officials at the White-Gold Tower. Although officially under Kythiran rule, the Empire holds little influence in the province at large. This at times led to petitions from government officials to split up Ardoragh into smaller, more manageable provinces, but the sudden naming of Whazajottom Roterstein as Crown Prince of Kythira ended these plans.

Yrticil is the major city in Southern [[Ardoragh]]. It was build by Witlof during the Fourth Era. It is both the southern-most city in Ardoragh and the [[Empire of Kythira|Kythiran Empire]] and due to geographical isolation and advantages it is heavily fortified by both nature and the city's population. The city houses a small-to-medium scale shipyard and dock.

The city contains a large underground cavern system called Blackreach, to which most caverns in the region lead.

Yrticil was found after an Ardoraghi expansion party was sent to the south in name of Whazajottom to expand and unify the lands under his new flag. The expedition leader, Witlof, managed to bring a lot of villages under the flag or Ardoragh and settled the city of Yrticil to give a good grip to the Southern lands of Ardoragh. Yrticil is to this day the seat of power in Southern Ardoragh.

}}Ardoragh is a Golden Province in the [[Empire of Kythira]]. It is located in the west of the Kythiran Empire and is, except for the farlands, the largest province of the Empire. Although it mostly consists of raw nature.

It is currently under the rule of [[Whazajottom|High Lord Whazajottom]]. Before the unification it has also been under the rule of High Lord Whazajottom, back then it was a monarchy being ruled by Whazajottom. He had offered to join the Empire to prevent any new wars from escalating. This removed Ardoragh from being the new kingdom of Whazajottom. However, Ardoragh turned out stronger than ever, due to a high increase in trade with the Kythiran Empire, and Whazajottom became a High Lord as well, granting him more influence in the Empire of Kythira. It has even granted him the title of Crown Prince of Kythira, meaning he will gain full control over the Kythiran Empire may the Emperor abdicate.

Ardoragh has a mythical background with lots of folk tales, ranging from magical beings to giants to large evil armies plundering all the lands. Although there is little to no evidence to be found all around Ardoragh except for ruins. Although it is said that inside the mountain of the fortress of [[Mörkren]] still resides the old fortress from the folklore. The Mythical fortress of Mörkren. There are locked doors to be found inside the fortress, but for years nobody has ever went there. It is also strictly forbidden to trespass these doors. It is still unknown what is behind these doors.

Ardoragh is the largest province inside the Empire of Kythira. Ardoragh was able to expand to such sizes after the Great Grief, there was no presence of the Empire back in these days. When Whazajottom has left behind his former kingdom of Redstonia to settle in new lands, he came along many villages in this region which he managed to unite under his new flag. The word quickly came about and more and more villages and settlements joined the cause, causing the new kingdom of Ardoragh to expand with little effort. Whazajottom welcomed all of the villages and helped them to rise to greater heights. Combatting crime in the region with a harsh iron grip, this has caused crime to nearly disappear from the region, causing the population to rejoice even more under the new king.

Other causes for the expansion is the near monopoly on trade with the Kythiran Farlands. Which has resulted in the city of Kreonix, the harbour city on the west coast of Ardoragh.

Far down south in Ardoragh lays the city of Yrticil, founded by WhiteWolfXD98 in name of Ardoragh. Communications have been lost with this expansion party for a while, but once it was returned, a well functioning city was returned, having the southern parts join the cause as well. This however, was done after the unification of Kythira and Ardoragh. However they have decided to join Ardoragh instead of becoming a self governing province within the Empire.

This at times led to petitions from government officials to split up Ardoragh into smaller, more manageable provinces, but the sudden naming of Whazajottom Roterstein as Crown Prince of Kythira ended these plans.
